My name is Danna K. Johnston and I am the founder of Beauty by Danna, Inc, creator of Aloeformocha Skin Care for Darker Tones. Welcome to our site!

As a woman of color, I’ve spent most of my adult life wondering why there were very few skin care products designed specifically for my mocha-toned skin. As a teenager, I knew that my skin’s needs were different from fairer skin-toned individuals, but most products seemed to be “one-size-fits-all”. When I was presented with the opportunity to start my own company, I was determined to develop a line of nature-based skin care products designed especially for ethnic skin.

I am very pleased that we have developed a line of skin care products designed for people with darker skin, including skin of African, Asian, Indian, Latin, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and mixed-race descent. Aloeformocha products address many of our specific and unique needs including: dark spots, under-eye circles, hyperpigmentation, acne, dryness, ashiness, and sensitive skin.

While I truly enjoy the challenges of running my business, I am most proud of the charitable work that comes from Aloeformocha sales. At Beauty by Danna, we contribute a portion of Aloeformocha sales to The Danna K. Johnston Foundation, a non-profit organization that empowers youth from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to succeed in high school and beyond. The Foundation is very serious about its hands on approach to making a difference in the lives of youth through tutoring and mentorship programs. Emphasis is placed on fostering the value of wise life choices while lending a hand with the utmost level of compassion and respect.
