What is "darker" skin?  Do I have darker skin?
Darker skin is "ethnic skin" or "skin of color." Darker skin contains higher levels of melanin than the levels found in lighter skin tones. The amount of melanin in darker skin has a wide range of concentrations, and depends greatly upon your heritage. If you are from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, the Pacific Islands, or are of mixed ethnic decent, then you probably have a darker skin tone. Our darker-toned skin requires special care and customized solutions in order to address our specific needs.

How often should I use my Aloeformocha products?
Aloeformocha Products are formulated to be used as part of your daily skin care regime and are safe to use every day.

How is Aloeformocha "nature-based"?
Aloeformocha products contain many natural ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Licorice, Green Tea, and many natural moisturizers such as Shea Butter and Grape Seed Oil. Aloeformocha Products are paraben-free. Parabens are a widely used group of chemicals that act as preservatives in many skin care products. You may see these listed on the ingredient labels as Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, and many others. In terms of safety, the use of parabens in cosmetics is highly controversial. We know for a fact that our skin absorbs, metabolizes, and excretes parabens, and so it follows that they can get into our waters and streams, having a significant impact on our wildlife. Also, the parabens that are left behind in our bodies from using the products containing parabens may mimic our own hormones and can disrupt our endocrine system. Because of this, we choose to not include parabens in our products – all Aloeformocha products are 100% paraben-free.

How long does it take to see results when using Aloeformocha products?
Some of our customers notice an immediate difference with using Aloeformocha products. You may notice the results anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks depending on the severity of your particular skin condition when using Aloeformocha skin care products.

Are Aloeformocha products safe for my ethnic skin?
Aloeformocha products are specifically formulated to address specific needs of ethnic or dark skin tones, such as acne, dryness, dark spots (hyperpigmentation), under eye circles, and ashiness. We use high quality Aloe Vera plants in our products, which have been used throughout the ages to address dark skin care needs. Aloe Vera has been long known to have healing properties that are effective especially for people with darker skin tones.

Can Aloeformocha help my dark marks?
To address dark spots, Aloeformocha uses more natural alternatives, as well as advanced peptide technology, to even out the skin, rather than harsher (and controversial) ingredients such as hydroquinone. To reveal more beautiful even-toned skin, we use proprietary blends of licorice, vitamin C, and green tea extract to help even out skin tones more naturally, while also gaining the benefits of advanced peptide technology.

Can Aloeformocha fix my under-eye circles?
Aloeformocha Dark Circle Eye Gel addresses dark circles under eyes with a proprietary  blend of natural ingredients and advanced peptides Eyeliss™ and Eyeseryl® that have been clinically proven to help de-circle, de-bag and de-puff the sensitive skin tissue beneath and aound the eye area.  Aloeformocha Dark Circle Eye Gel can be worn under eye-make up and even makes for a smoother application of eye make-up.

What is the proper order to use Aloeformocha products?
The Aloeformocha skin care regime can be tailored to your individual skin needs. We do recommend using Aloeformocha products in the following ways:

• Morning: cleanse, tone, moisturize, under eye gel (if your skin is dry, try cleansing at night-time only)
• Night: cleanse, tone, moisturize, under eye gel
• One time per week: mask
• Daily: Lip Care

Can I mix and match products from the oily skin line and the normal skin line?
Yes, depending on your particular skin type, Aloeformocha products for normal skin can be used with Aloeformocha products for oily skin. For example, some of my customers require the cleanser for normal skin, but prefer the deep astringent properties of the toner for oily skin.

Is Aloeformocha suitable for men?
Yes, men can use Aloeformocha.  Many of our mail clients let us know that after continued use of Aloeformocha, they notice that their skin has a softer touch and feel.

Do you conduct animal testing?
No.  We do not use animals to test our products.  We test our products on human skin. 

Do I need to wear a sunscreen when using Aloeformocha products?
The American Academy of Dermatology recommends that, regardless of skin type, a broad-spectrum (protects against UVA and UVB rays), water-resistant sunscreen with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of at least 30 should be used year-round.³ Sunscreen helps protect your skin against free radical damage from the sun's harmful rays. Also, some ingredients in our products may cause skin to become more photosensitive, so we recommend applying a sunscreen daily, and at least every two hours if going outside.

Is it normal to experience skin sensitivity when first starting Aloeformocha products? 
We pride ourselves on the high-quality of our skin care formulations. For best results, we recommend that you strictly follow our directions of use located on our containers and on our website. A small majority of individuals experience sensitivity when starting a new skin care regimen. This may take the form of a short-lived breakout. This reaction can be an indication that your skin will require a short amount of time to adjust to the active ingredients in the new products. In such cases, we encourage you to be patient and continue your daily regimen. If skin is sensitive for more than 2 weeks, please consult your dermatologist. It is recommended that you check our list of ingredients to assure that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients in our products. Some ingredients in Aloeformocha, such as natural licorice extract, may cause photosensitivity in some individuals. We recommend using a sunscreen of at least 30 SPF when using Aloeformocha products.
